WHEN THE DEVIL WHIPS OUT THE BIG GUNS, GOD SENDS A NUKE

Sooo....I WANT TO START OFF THIS MORNING WITH A TESTIMONY!! In my last post yesterday, I wrote about the devil ramping up his attacks the closer we get to our breakthrough! The closer we get to our OVERFLOW and BLESSINGS that God has in store for us! That thought came over me as I was sitting, there is a sister in Christ on Twitter that was being verbally attacked, by other Christians, and she tweeted that she would no longer spread the love of Christ on that platform. She stated that she couldn't take the pain of the comments, especially since they were coming from other CHRISTIANS! I replied to her, encouraging her to stay in the race, stay the course, that there were lives attached to her platform, and that the devil was heavily attacking her because God was about to fulfill something in her life!! I wrote that the devil knows exactly what our weakness are and he loads those things in his BIG GUNS, and fires away with all he has! Well yesterday, not TWO HOURS  after I blogged, the devil tried to throw a HAIL MARY on me, but my defense (the Holy Spirit) was there in the end zone to SWAT IT DOWN!! So, knowing that the devil knows that ATTACKING MY MOTHERHOOD OR MY CHILDREN is the biggest emotional target in my life, that's where he focused his attack on me yesterday! During a conversation we were having I asked my son, does the women of the house (I don't share names but it is a close family member of ours) try to make it seem like I am not a good mother, that I can't take care of you and do the right thing? He replies, well she came to me while I was at the table, rubbed my leg and said "I will always love you, and I will always be there for you" and proceeded to give him a laminated list of phone numbers, none of which were mine! So hearing that, I stopped, and when I tell you the anger bubbled from my belly, and slowly rose up to the top of my chest!! I ALMOST STARTED RANTING AND RAVING!...but the GOD IN ME stopped me in my tracks, just as I was entering my son's room! I was getting ready to consume him with yelling questions like DO YOU THINK I'M GONNA KILL YOU OR SOMETHING? DO YOU THINK I CAN'T TAKE CARE OF YOU? WHY WAS THIS DONE BEHIND MY BACK? DO YOU THINK I WOULD HURT YOU? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?? I stopped right in the entranced and thought, I KNOW what this is, I JUST BLOGGED ABOUT IT! Instead of allowing the anger to rise, instead of allowing my anger to push me to thoughts and feelings (because I was extremely hurt and VERY VERY ANGRY!), I reached out to the heavenly father!!! The more I prayed, the clearer my thoughts became, the more I prayed, the calmer I became! I begged God to take away the feeling of hurt, pain, and anger away from my belly and chest! Soon, I was thinking, you are not in competition with any other women on this planet concerning your children! Then I thought, this happened over a week ago, this was when she was going to put me out, this happened after I told her my kids are coming WITH ME PERIOD! All she knows is my track record, and that is what she was going by, she doesn't yet know the new me! She was LOOKING OUT FOR MY CHILDREN! She didn't know if I really had secured a place to stay (which I didn't), she didn't know if I had a plan (which I didn't), she didn't know where I was taking them (because she knew I wouldn't of told her!). You see, the devil will try to warp, twist, and make you feel like one thing is happening when it's really the other! THE DEVIL IS A MASTER DECEIVER, LIAR, MANIPULATOR, AND A MASTER OF CHAOS! If I would have followed my emotions, and excepted the warped, and twisted "truth" the devil tried to present to me, I WOULD HAVE GONE OFF! I would have taken 10 steps backward in my development, instead of winning a major battle yesterday! THE WORD OF GOD IS REAL! That is why I stress that point in every blog post! I reminded myself that God is in control of EVERYTHING, NOT JUST SOME THINGS! I repeated the bible verse, "If God before me who can be against me" and "No weapon formed against me shall prosper!". I reminded myself that I had the VICTORY, that I was MORE THAN A CONQUEROR! If I didn't have the WORD OF GOD IN ME, things would have turned a different way yesterday, my kids would have seen me yet again, yelling, screaming, and cursing (I'm pretty sure I would have let a couple go yesterday!). Some may see this as a small battle and victory, but if you knew the old me THIS WAS HUGE! When I react off of my anger, rebellion and revenge follow! UNFORGIVENESS follows right behind that mess! I would have been something different this morning! ....but I thanked God instead, I said out loud that I forgive her for anything negative she has said behind my back! I also forgave anyone who listened and repeated those things! I forgave all of it, I even shared my blog post with my oldest two, and shared this testimony! GOD IS GREAT! He watched us in those moments of emotional, physical, and mental distress! He wants to see what action we take, what we CHOOSE to do!! I THANK GOD FOR HIS CHANGING POWER! I THANK GOD FOR THE MIRACULOUS CHANGE HE HAS DONE IN MY LIFE, INSIDE AND OUT! My breakthrough is on the way, your breakthrough is on the way! LETS NOT ALLOW THE DEVIL TO KNOCK US OFF COURSE! LET'S NOT ALLOW THE DEVIL TO CONFUSE US, OR BRING CHAOS TO OUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS! Remember, the closer you get, THE GREATER THE ATTACK!! BE READY!!! READ READ READ READ READ READ READ THE WORD OF GOD!!!! IT WILL NOT FAIL YOU AND YOU KNOW GOD WILL NEVER! I love you all to life and GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!

THE DEVIL WORKS OVERTIME WHEN YOUR CLOSE

Sooo...I have been sitting here this afternoon in thought, and I came to this conclusion. The closer you get to what God has for you, the closer you get to Him, the more obedient you are day after day, the devil amps up his attempts to destroy you! You see, the devil knows ALL of our weakness, he pin points what WAS really bad about you, and preys on that! If your prone to being insecure, he will send negative thoughts as you look in the mirror, he will try to make you believe you are not enough, he will try to make you believe you are not worthy of anything! If you are prone to anger, he will drum up every memory of someone that has done something to you, he will even have you day dream about things that have never happened, and just thinking about reacting in that negative way boils up those emotions! No matter what your character flaws were, the devil will try to work on those, to try and turn our heads away from! I am here to tell you if you didn't know already, THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!! HE IS A NASTY STINKING LIAR!!! HE IS A DECEIVER, HE IS A DESTROYER!! No matter what negative emotion, thoughts, of feelings arise, PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS! If a feeling or emotion or thought brings you pain, IT IS OF THE DEVIL, and he is trying to drag you back down that worm hole of sin and destruction! He also works through other people, the more your character is attacked falsely, the more people talk bad about you, the more people lie on you, the more the reject you, that is a sign that you are close to your blessing! When the devil tries to unleash all hell loose on you, God is about to work in a MAGNIFICENT WAY! DON'Y GIVE UP!! STAY THE COURSE!! KEEP YOU HEAD UP!! SEEK GOD!! PRAY!! PLAY YOUR GOSPEL MUSIC! ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO DO!! HOLD TIGHT, GOD GOT YOU!! Your almost at the end of your pain, your almost at the end of this situation that your in! Your almost to the promise and miracle that God has in store for you! He is watching us in these times, REACH OUT FOR GOD, HANG ON AND DON'T LET GO!!!! HANG ON FOR DEAR LIFE!! YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT! GOD BLESS YOU AN KEEP FIGHTING!!! I LOVE YOU, AND GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER KNOW!!! IT IS ALREADY DONE IN JESUS NAME!

THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY

Sooooo......If you remember, back in an old post, I explained how I used to isolate myself, putting up a wall between me and the rest of the world, ruining personal relationships, and how I asked God to help me be a better friend and family member! I also asked that he mend the relationship between me and my best friend of over 16 years....I just realized it's been 16 years, now I feel old!!! ANYWAYS, after I prayed, God, in his most amazing way, has been doing just that! I started and finished this bible plan called "Better Together". It outlined things like forgiveness, confiding in others, humility, and holding each other accountable! I am so happy God has opened the door back up in my friendship, and family relationships, it is up to me to follow through, to heed his instructions, and be intentional with everything I do. I also prayed that he mend the relationship between me and my siblings! I am the oldest, and haven't always been a very good example! God has given me another chance to do this right, and I'm not going to squander it or take this for granted! Having that other person to do life with is vital to our Christian walk. I am "lucky" to have a best friend who already has a good foundation, rooted and grounded in Christ ( we were both raised in the church with very strict mothers!!), but if you don't have that in your life, pray and ask God to send someone along! He will answer! In James 5:16 it says "Confess your sins one to another, so that you may be healed. The prayers of a righteous person is powerful and effective!" NIV That is why having a close relationship with a friend, a group a friends, that close relative, is VITAL! We can be healed from confessing our sins, telling that person or persons everything, getting it out of our spirit and hearts. That takes the load off of your heart, get it all out, so God can replace it with His love, and his purpose! I used to think that MY BUSINESS IS MY BUSINESS! That is a very dangerous head space to be in! That is what the devil wants you to do, HOLD ON to all that mess, KEEP IT INSIDE so that it can rot you out. So that you will have to indulge in substance abusive, and destructive behavior to block it out! DON'T ALLOW THE ENEMY TO WIN!! Do not keep yourself bound! Give it to Jesus, talk about it with that close person, scrape it all out! Have an accountability partner, someone who will pray for you, bring you before God! I was reading the story about how a group of friends carried their paralyzed friend on a mat to see Jesus who was teaching in a house. It was so packed, they couldn't even get in the front door! So they climbed up onto the roof (I can't eve imagine how they managed this) broke through (they had to dig through the tile and whatever else) and lowered their friend in front of Jesus! ISN'T THAT AMAZING!!!! We need those type of friends, and we also need to be that kind of friend to someone else!!!! Someone who will stop at nothing to bring you before Jesus when you can't get there on your own!! Someone who will pull you up, lower you down, encourage you, be there when the miracle happens, be there when the storm arises, be there to correct, be there to redirect, be there in tears, be there during the smiles, for everything! God did not make us to go through this life ALONE! If He did, there would just be Adam right now, chillin' by himself in the garden, just him and the animals!! lol!! ASK GOD TO SEND YOU SOMEBODY!! Don't do this own your own! If you are not someone who is good at relationships and letting people in, ask God for guidance, ask Him to break down your walls!! He we see you through EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!!!!........OH, AND READ YOUR BIBLE EVERYONE!! I'M NOT PLAYIN'!!! LOL! I love you to life, you know that! GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!!!!

THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMILITY

Soooo...today I just want to kind of piggy back off of the last two posts that I have done. The last post, I was basically reminiscing about the times where I was VERY judgmental, and full of pride, and basically having a BIG HEAD! Today, the devotional reading was about HUMILITY! Gods plan, I can't even put into words how happy, and loved I feel! Yesterday he reminded me about how prideful I used to be, and today he has given me the tools to defeat those character flaws!! GOD IS SO AWESOME! HE IS JUST AMAZING!! Jesus, was a humbled SERVANT! He said that he came to earth not to BE SERVED, but TO SERVE! He is humility incarnated! If I want to be more and more like Him, than HUMILITY is one of the most important, if not the most important character trait we can have! Now, when I look at that word, at first, one of the first things I thought about was being HUMILIATED!! You see how the devil works, he knows our flaws, just as much as God does, except the enemy hopes we act, instead of change! I realized that I need to be in a constant state of SERVING! If you have read from the earlier posts, I talked about feeling like the house servant, how no one else helps out with the cleaning, the cooking, the dishes, the trash, the yard work etc. I was deep in pride then, and I decided to TAKE my reward, instead of just doing what I knew needed to be done, to just serve and help the lady of the house, instead I was concentrating on what OTHERS weren't doing! Jesus, the night before He was to be crucified, WASHED THE FEET OF HIS DISCIPLES! WASHED........FEET!!!!! Can you imagine, the King of Kings, the master of the universe, the ruler over ALL THINGS, the ALPHA and OMEGA, the author and the finisher, the GREAT I AM, the SAVIOR, the FATHER to all living beings on the planet.........WASHING FEET!!! If Jesus knelt down and washed the crusty feet of 12 men, the night before He was to be beaten, spit on, stabbed, cursed, betrayed, denied, whipped, and NAILED TO A CROSS, for the sins of the people who were doing those very things to Him, and for EVERYONE ELSE EVER IN CREATION, than who am I to think I can't clean up a little ole house! Who am I to complain that I have to do dishes, and a little yard work!! Those things seem so petty when I put them in comparison! PETTY AND IMMATURE!! Let's strive together, to be more and more like Jesus! His level of HUMILITY can never be matched by any mere human being on this planet, but He doesn't expect us to be perfect, HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN BE THAT!....but if we continue to be lead by the spirit and not by the flesh, we can work in humility, be in constant service to the ones around us, and to people we don't know! I believe you can't be in ANY form of ministry and not be humble, and operate in humility! Pride and humility cannot coexist! They are two opposing traits, which one will you chose today! I choose HUMILITY! I know first hand what pride and complaining brings.......FAILURE AND DESTRUCTION! The expression "Pride comes before the fall" is real!!! I love you to life....GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!! He wants to serve you, so serve Him, AND OTHERS!!

THE DESTRUCTION OF A JUDGMENTAL MINDSET

Sooo.....Happy Sabbath!! I hope everyone is taking the time to rest, go to church, and ponder on the things of God. I am laying in my daughter's bed (because my kids have completely taken over my room this morning) thinking about 3 years ago, when I had my first breakthrough and how I handled myself, comparing it to now! The first time I didn't conduct myself in a Godly way! I was hungry for the word but didn't apply it! I was very judgmental of others, I constantly compared my walk with God to others! I compared EVERYTHING about myself against the flaws I saw in others, not ever once focusing on my own!! I was reading Corinthians today, and a few letters that Paul wrote to them struck me! He basically wrote that we are co-workers in the Lord, that we all have a part to play, not one of us or what we are supposed to do are more important than the other! The only thing that matters is God shining through our work, we can plant and sow and water, but God is the one who makes everything grow!! We  are all operating under the same grace and mercy! No one is above the other, no one should choose to follow one or another ONLY GOD! He has all the power, and only He deserves all the glory and all the praise! We/I are just a humble servant, a vessel to which God uses to serve his purpose! We are to be a light to others, not tear each other up with judgement! I'm not saying that judgmental thoughts don't try to creep in, what I'm saying is I have received the power to shut them down! I have a new way of thinking, and a new heart, given to me by God! If it wasn't for Him, and the work He has done, I would be the same old mess!! I THANK GOD FOR HIS REDEEMING POWER! I THANK GOD FOR HIS CHANGING POWER!! Think about where God has brought you from, what He has brought you through, and how He has changed you for the better! I am encouraged, and I am full of hope for the future!!!! I love you brothers and sisters, GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!!

TAKING ADVANTAGE OF GODS GRACE AND MERCY

Sooo....this morning I was reading (rather following along with the audio) Nehemiah the 9th chapter. It went into detail about how the Israelite's where given everything they needed, when they were delivered out of the hands of whatever nation was persecuting them at that time. It went into detail how they would cry out, and God would deliver them. Not just deliver them, He would lead them to a land that already had EVERYTHING THEY NEED! Wells that were already dug, fruit trees already planted and flourishing, housing, fertile soil, everything they needed!.....yet every time they got settled, and comfortable in their sweet new life, they would go back to their wicked ways and turn from God! Isn't that something?! Well, that WAS me not so long ago! Every time I would find myself in a situation where I would have to start again in my living situation, God swooped down and MADE A WAY OUT OF NO WAY! He would set it up so that my rent was low, and I would get used furniture, tvs, pots and pans, at no charge, JUST GIVEN! I remember my first apartment in Florida, when we moved we had nothing (except for the stuff that me and the father of my children stole from the place where I was working, kitchen stuff), the woman next door was being evicted, and the day that she had to move out, she literally gave us her whole house!! It was unbelievable! The landlord originally said the rent would be $700 a month, the day we moved in she informed us it would be $300! Everything fell into place! I knew where that help came from, thanked God, then continued to live in filthy sin! This would happen over and over! All of those times, like the Isrealites, I took advantage of Gods loving kindness, of His grace and mercy! God has always been continuously faithful in my life, and I have only given Him bits and pieces, never my all, UNTIL NOW! I am so GRATEFUL that God didn't just throw me away! I am grateful that He never gave up on me, and never will!! I am grateful for the trials and the tests, the heartaches and the pains, the suffering the despair...ALL OF IT!! I am grateful it took all of that to push me in the right direction! I do not regret ANYTHING that I went through, I just thank God for coming to my cry, EVERY TIME, ANYTIME, ALL THE TIME!!! GOD I THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND ALL MY SOUL, WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE!! I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANY PERSON ON THIS EARTH! EVEN MY CHILDREN!! (That is something I thought I could never say! More than my CHILDREN!) Don't advantage of Gods grace and mercy the way I did, don't choose pain and suffering, he allows things to happen to you to mold you, but to also GET YOUR ATTENTION!! HEED HIS CALL!! DON'T DELAY....OH....AND READ READ READ READ READ READ READ THE WORD OF GOD!!! I love you too LIFE! GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!!!

Refer to Nehemiah chapter 9....if that is your cycle, ask God to change your behavior, ask Him to change replace your heart of stone with a heart of flesh! He will do it, you just have to INVITE Him in! God bless you on your journey!!

NO SUCH THING AS CHANCE OR COINCIDENCE

Soooo....my friend sent me a video of Tye Tribbett preaching, get this, AT A CHURCH THAT IS LITERALLY THE NEXT TOWN OVER! Now I have seen this particular video before I recommitted my life back to God, but I saw it through different eyes! Remember I've said before that everything God does is on PURPOSE, never COINCIDENTAL! ANYWAY, Tye made a great point when he was telling the story about Ruth and Naomi, we all know from Sunday school as a kid that Ruth said to Naomi, I will go where you go, so on and so forth! As a believer and adult Tye had this other perspective about this story! He said that before Naomi left, Ruth's sister KISSED Naomi and went on her way, where as Ruth CLEAVED to Naomi!!! Now Ruth had to drop EVERYTHING in her hand to cleave onto Naomi the way she did, and her sister holding on to EVERYTHING had the ability to just kiss her on the cheek! Tye said, some of us HOLD ON TO OUR CRAP and just KISS GOD! While others DROP EVERYTHING AND CLEAVE ONTO HIM! WITH THE DESIRE TO NOT LIVE WITHOUT HIM! I COULD HAVE RAN ALL AROUND THIS HOUSE!! I wanted to scream but it was like 6 a.m.!!! I WAS RUTH'S SISTER!...and that caused me to be the DOUBLE MINDED person I used to be! I was wondering when I would get to this point, since the blog is named THE DANGERS OF A DOUBLE MINDED PERSON, but I guess it was in Gods plan to work on me first and guide me to this point, on post number 38! Every time I would call myself "getting back right with God" I would continue to hold on to A LOT of crap, while just kissing Him! I didn't drop EVERYTHING and humbly follow Him! I may have dropped smoking, drinking, cocaine, and swearing, but I HELD ON TO character flaws like, LYING, PRIDE, ARROGANCE, SELFISHNESS, HAUGHTINESS, BIG PIGHEADEDNESS!..and by holding on to things like that, my strengths also became my weakness, I was OVER CONFIDENT, I TALKED TO MUCH BUT REALLY NOT SAYING ANYTHING! I was like this on this inside, but trying to live for Christ on the outside! I was reading the bible, but not applying it! You see, all of the things I kept on the inside prevented me from being OBEDIENT, it put a barrier between the work God wanted to do INSIDE of me! I was trying to be SAVED and OLD KRISTINA at the same time! What I didn't know then was that you have to be changed on the inside, all that old mess and CHARACTER FLAWS that plague the spirit has to be cleaned, I have to allow God to do a COMPLETE WORK in my life! I cannot PICK AND CHOOSE what to give God, then expect Him to come ALL THE WAY THROUGH for me! God does things in completion, so we have to GIVE HIM OUR ALL! Give Him all of our sins, all of our mistakes, all of our cares and worries, ALL OF OUR OBEDIENCE! From the outside, being committed to God may look like it's nothing but RULES RULES RULES, you can't do this, and you can't do that!!....but once you make that choice, and give God your YES, and start to follow His leadership, you will realize that you don't want to live without these rules, YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THEM, AND YOU WON'T WANT TO!! God will totally and completely change you mindset!! I pray that everyone who reads this, allow God to do a COMPLETE work in your life, CLEAVE TO THE SAVIOR! YOU ARE NOT YOUR SITUATION, YOU ARE NOT YOUR SINS, YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES!!! DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE HOLDING ON TO AND CLEAVE TO GOD!! ....and don't let him go!!!! I love you to life, AND GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE!!
